The apartment is on the top floor (4th) with elevator in a medioeval building located in Via San Niccolò in the most characteristic area in the historic center of Florence (World Heritage Site by Unesco), “San Niccolò”, just below Michelangelo Square, with it's famous view on the city, and the fortification of Forte Belvedere.
The apartment is very bright and from all the windows you can have a stunning view over Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte Basilica, one of the most beautiful church's in Italy.
It consists of a large living room, a dining room, a small separate kitchen, a bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a closet, a loft with a single bed that looks down on the living room, and a second bathroom (the lofted level has a slanted ceiling with a max height of 1,80 meters).The apartment is approximately 70 square meters (755 square feet) and it is elegantly furnished and well accessorized. It can host five people total, two in the main bedroom (bed of 140 cm), two in the comfortable sofa bed (bed of 170 cm) in the living room, and one in the lofted bedroom. The kitchen with its small dimensions has everything, a stove with four gas burners, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a freezer. Air conditioning is available upon request (8 euro extra each day) internet WI-FI, TV, a safe, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board and independent heating.
I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful experience. Alessandra is a great host . The views and location are spectacular . The bedroom is very quiet and comfortable . Stay and enjoy yourself ! Debbie
This apartment is in a great location to walk to central areas - 10 mins to Vecchio bridge, 10 mins to Piazzale Michelangelo - a wonderful spot to take a picnic and watch the sunset over Florence. Alessandra and Alessandro were helpful from the moment we booked, and Alessandra had lots of good suggestions and helpful information for us as soon as we arrived which helped us settle in very quickly. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything we needed, even cooking a meal or two - although there are so many great eating options right by the apartment. The loft room was perfect for our 18yo daughter to feel she had her own space when she wanted, and the living area provided plenty of space for the 3 of us to relax for a midday rest or after a long day sightseeing. Alessandra provided lots of extras to make us feel spoiled, from chocolate to wine. And of course the view was beautiful, we even got to watch a thunderstorm one evening. Thanks so much Alessandra for a wonderful stay in Florence. We will recommend to others.
